Volunteer at the Winnetka and Northfield Public Libraries

Looking for ways to enrich your life and the lives of others? Volunteer at the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District!

Volunteers assist with many important roles at both the Winnetka and Northfield locations. These include shelving materials, giving warm greetings as a program host, or helping others learn about technology and much more. There are many ways that you can help make the library an incredible place to visit.

How to Become a Volunteer

If you are interested in volunteering, please complete the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District Volunteer Application and submit it to volunteer@wnpld.org. The Volunteer team will review the application and reach out to you with more information.

Volunteers between the ages of 14-17 will work with our Teen Volunteer Program while volunteers ages 18 and above will work with our Adult Volunteer Program. Volunteering applicants must be 14 years of age or older.

If you are under the age of 18 you will need to bring in a signed copy of our parental consent form.

The Library does not offer volunteer hours for court ordered community service.
