Join Us in Support of the Library District We Love!

The Friends of the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District is a not-for-profit organization of people who share a belief that a strong public library is essential for a thriving community. This special group of volunteers works to enrich and enhance the library experience for the residents of the Library District.

Friends Sponsored Library Events and Programs

Library programs funded all or in part by Friends of the Library support include:

  • Children’s storytimes and family entertainment programs
  • Summer reading programs
  • Historical dramatic performances
  • Art, travel, food and cooking programs
  • Book clubs for all ages
  • Cultural and educational lectures

Donate to the Friends of the Library

Annual, memorial, honorary and other donations are accepted throughout the year. Donations can be made via PayPal through our website or mailed to the Library. If you wish to make a memorial donation, please enter the details into the Notes field when submitting your donation. For more information regarding donations, please contact Library Director Monica Dombrowski at mdombrowski@wnpld.org.

To date, the Friends have raised over $300,000. The Friends are recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law.

Friends of the Library is Seeking New Members to Join!

Winnetka/Northfield Friends of the Library is seeking new members to join! This vibrant group meets three times per year. Candidates must be either a Winnetka, Northfield, or Kenilworth resident. If you are interested, please contact friendsofwnpld@gmail.com.
