Michael says,

Volcano goes boom. A lightly buttered popcorn film that loses a little of the silliness factor when you read the disaster movie’s predominately Mandarin Chinese dialog as subtitles. I waited patiently for the guy on a jet ski to get hit with volcanic debris and wasn’t disappointed.

Late Spring

Ben says,

Among Japanese director Yasujirō Ozu’s most beloved works is this moving portrait of an aging father and his adult daughter. Starring Ozu regulars Setsuko Hara and Chishū Ryū, Late Spring finds the director exploring generational conflict with characteristic grace and his distinctive visual grammar. In Japanese with English subtitles.
