Family Chess Nights New Night!

Chess for children ages 5 & older with an accompanying adult. Chess Education Partners, Inc. will provide a short lesson and then supervise chess play. By playing with friends and family, children will discover not only a wonderful arena in which to succeed, but valuable life skills. Registration required.
How do I search the catalog?
- The search can always be found in the upper right of any screen in the catalog.
- The two dropdown menus to the left of the search box let you choose the type of search (author, title, etc.) and the location of the search (either just Winnetka-Northfield, or all of our local library system)
- Type your search into the search box and press enter. You will then be taken to the results screen.
- On the left of the screen is a whole list of ways to limit your search - by format, topic, genre, publication date, etc. These options are very helpful if you have too many results to browse and would like to pare them down.
- At the bottom of each search result, it shows the item call number and whether the item is on shelf. To the right is a button that allows you to place a hold on the item
