2008 Studio 60093 Children's Video Fest Entries

Here is our list of official entries for the 2008 Studio 60093 Film Fest. The 1^st and 2^nd place winners are listed first in each category. 1^st and 2^nd prizes were awarded by our panel of judges. Winner of the popular vote was determined by a week of online voting.

Animation

Grades K-8

1^st Place & Winner of Popular Vote - An Average Day at the Library - Trey Chic wants to do something and goes to the library, but he and his stormtroopers have some trouble there.

2^nd Place - Verbal - Animation created using names.

Live Action

Grades K-8

1^st Place - A Midwinter Night's Dream - Using the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District's programs to escape boredom.

2^nd Place - Bookworms : A Mockumentary - Bookworms are disappearing every day, but we can make a change. This mockumentary provides information about this endangered species.

Grades 9-12

1^st Place - Unrequited Love - The story of a girl who can't find a date to a dance, but realizes books are more fun anyway.

2^nd Place - Dumb Sunday - A short film about going to work and realizing too late that there is no work that day.

Bike Ride - About a girl biking to school. From her point of view, the bike ride gets a little strange.

Closet - Taking an everyday activity that is affected by the killer closet monster. The protagonist just wants to go to school.

A Day with Lucas Carpenter - A film illustrating someone's daily habit of making art.

A Different View, All the Same - Shows the hands and feet of two people getting ready for school.

Goooo Speeed Racer - Someone's late for school.

Lunch - An artsy, distorted view of a simple sandwich.

Lunch - A girl makes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in an unconventional way.

Running Late - Someone struggles to get to school on time.

The Stairs - Girls walking up and down the stairs doing different things every time going down.

The Trance - The protagonist becomes hypnotized by the show The Hills.
