The Friends of the Library enrich and enhance the library experience for the residents of the Library district. This special group of volunteers supports extraordinary projects. Annual, memorial, honorary and other donations are accepted throughout the year. To date, the Friends have raised over $300,000. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to the Friends.
The Friends are recognized by the IRS as a 501c3 organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law. Support your Library and community!
One Book Two Villages Author Events
One Book Two Villages, an annualevent that brings our communities together by reading and discussing a common book, and the Train Station Book Exchange are just a few examples of the Friends’ accomplishments.

The Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District Foundation has been dissolved. Donations may be made to directly to the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District or given to the Friends of the Library. The Friends of the Library organization meets several times a year at either the Winnetka or Northfield Branch Library. The next meeting is at 7pm, May 9, 2017 at the Northfield Branch Library in the Northfield Community Room.
