This summer, embark upon a reading quest. The Oracle has foreseen two different quests for heroic readers... but each hero may only undertake ONE. Which will you choose?
Choose titles from different themes of your choice. Titles can be any length, as long as they are at your normal reading level.
Visit the library and record titles you've completed on your Hero Quest log. You may only record titles that you finish after the date you sign up.
Complete five different themes and earn prizes as you read. Your rewards begin after your first title!
If you complete five different themes, continue to read from any theme. You can read all summer long.
Earn one extra Grand Prize drawing ticket for each additional 5 titles that you record, up to a total of 5.

Think you can read more than a librarian? Our Titan representatives are Melissa at the Northfield Branch Library and Ann at the Winnetka Main Library. They'll be reading and recording titles that they complete all summer long. Just check the box on the front of your reading log and we'll automatically count the pages you've recorded on Friday, June 25, Friday, July 30 and Saturday, August 28 and compare them to the page counts of our Titans!
On each date, readers who have recorded more pages than their library's representative win a special reward and can choose to have their photo displayed at the library until the next page count date.
All youth who complete the requirements of Hero Quest will receive a new paperback book to keep, along with other fun prizes on the way! Readers can also earn tickets to be entered into an end-of-summer drawing for an iPod touch.
