Renewing Materials Online

You can renew items using the online catalog or our Online Renewal Form in addition to calling the Library at (847) 446-7220.

The Online Catalog

You can renew your books using the online catalog renewal page.

If you have never logged in before, enter your library barcode on the back of your card without spaces. The default password is the word 'PATRON'. It is highly advised that you change your password after logging in the first time for your own security.

You will see a list of all the items you have checked out. Just check on the box next to the item(s) you wish to renew and then click on the "Renew" button.

Online Renewal Form

You can use the Online Renewal Form at the bottom of this page to renew some items that you have checked out. You can only renew books owned by the Winnetka-Northfield Public Library District when using this form. Please note that you might not be able to renew every book.

Some interlibrary loans require special handling.  If you have an item acquired through interlibrary loan, see the interlibrary loan page for more information.

At the bottom of this page, choose the number of books you want to renew and click on the "Select" button. You will then be taken to the Online Renewal Form. You need to fill in all the fields in bold.

After you have filled out the form, click on the "Submit Form" button. Please note that by pressing the "Clear Form" button you will erase all the information on the form.
